The Korean Society of Clinical Chemistry (KSCC) is an academic organization in the field of clinical chemistry. It holds an annual conference on various subjects related to clinical chemistry and supports its members’ research activities and education.
The KSCC is committed to the development and advancement of clinical chemistry in collaboration with the Clinical Chemistry division of The Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine (KSLM) and The Korean Association of Quality Assurance for Clinical Laboratory (KAQACL). It continues to support quality control in clinical laboratories and is a leader in clinical chemistry in Korea.
With advances in medicine, the importance of, and dependence on, clinical chemistry will increase. KSCC would like to increase the number of society members in related medical fields, and take on more responsibility for development and research, academic activities, and improving the quality of medical activities and education. In order to increase the reliability of basic clinical chemistry tests, more accurate and rapid tests with proven medical quality should be developed. It is important to standardize existing tests and introduce new tests, while placing safety and quality ahead of commercialization. KSCC is striving to keep pace with globalization. KSCC will encourage society members to attend international academic conferences and submit academic papers. As a member of the society of Asia-Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry (APFCB) and the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), KSCC will host international conferences and participate in academic activities more actively in the societies of neighboring countries.
